2. “Our Heavenly Father created the universe that we might reach our potential as His sons and daughters... At times we may even feel insignificant, invisible, alone, or forgotten. In that unprecedented appearance of the Father and the Son in the Sacred Grove, the very first word spoken by the Father of us all was the personal name of Joseph. Such is our Father’s personal relationship with each of us. He knows our names and yearns for us to become worthy to return to live with Him."
-M. Russell Ballard, "The Atonement and the Value of One Soul" April 2004 General Conference

8. "He knows us and waits for us, even when we are a great way off."

10. "...if you trust the Lord and obey Him, His hand shall be over you, He will help you achieve the great potential He sees in you."

Why It Matters:
Well, would you look at that! We are pretty amazing and special beings. The Lord loves us so much, and we are special to Him. With the Lord's view of eternity, He sees that we have so much worth and such potential. He wants us to reach that potential, and we can only do so by turning to Him and letting Him help us reach that place in eternity. We cannot look through a dirty mirror clouded by our doubts and fears. We need to trust in the Lord and look through the mirror kept clean by His Infinite Atonement. In that mirror, we can see in us the potential He sees.
